Babies thrive when ingredients speak the same language as their skin. 

 

We choose certified food-grade, organic, plant-based oils and butters that the body already recognizes — nourishing the skin barrier with familiar, gentle fatty acids that support its natural development. These ingredients are bio-compatible, minimally processed, and easily integrated into the barrier function — providing skin-recognized nourishment instead of foreign, disruptive substances. 

 

Because the right ingredients make all the difference, and the wrong ones have no place here.

 

What We Leave Out

 

Our formulations begin with a simple question: Does this belong on newborn skin?

 

Every decision we make is guided by biological harmony and skin barrier science. If an ingredient can't pass the food-grade standard, if it disrupts the skin barrier rather than supports it, if it introduces synthetic interference where gentle botanical care belongs, it doesn't make it into our butter nursery.

 

 

OUR EXCLUSION LIST

 

Water (and everything it requires)

Our skincare is waterless by design. Without water, microbes can't grow, which means we never need preservatives like phenoxyethanol, parabens, or formaldehyde-releasing systems (DMDM Hydantoin, Quaternium-15). We also never need emulsifiers like polysorbates or ethoxylated compounds to force water and oil to blend. Every formula stays pure, stable, and gentle.

Our Baby Collection (for ages newborn to 12 months) contains zero essential oils, formulated for infant skin's higher permeability. The Toddle Collection (for ages 1 to 3) thoughtfully introduces a single certified food-grade, organic essential oil per product at a maximum of 0.15%.

A Note on Hormone Disruptors

Many ingredients on our exclusion list, including phthalates, parabens, synthetic fragrance, triclosan, BHA, BHT, and nonylphenol ethoxylates, are also recognized as potential endocrine disruptors. We exclude them not only for their barrier-disrupting effects, but also for their potential impact on developing hormonal systems.
