Our baby balms were originally packaged in glass jars, but we learned that many childcare facilities don't accept glass due to breakage risks. In response, we transitioned to the safest plastic alternatives available while continuing to minimize packaging wherever possible.

My baby boy has been diagnosed with X-linked ichthyosis since birth, so from the start I’ve been really careful about what products I use on his skin. He was a NICU baby, and the doctors were using Cetaphil on his skin, which seemed to dry his skin out even more.
That’s when I came across Cocoa LaBear, and after just two days of using it I could already see a difference! His skin looks much more hydrated, especially his face, which tends to get really dry. I’ve been using the Chubby Cheeks moisturizer on his face and it’s helped so much! It also prevented the baby acne he would get when I used other products. I like to rub any extra that I have on my hands into his scalp, and it actually cleared up his cradle cap overnight.
I also love the Baby Butter Cup not just to moisturize him, but to massage his skin too. I like rubbing his belly with it, especially when he’s constipated, and it seems to help. I also used it to massage his tight stiff muscles in his legs from the newborn scrunch!
The Barrier Balm has also been amazing. I use it in his folds and under his arm pits, and it really helped when his skin got raw and red from moisture. It’s been really nice having something gentle but effective for those extra sensitive areas. For bath time, we’ve been using the Baby Bastille soap, and I love how gentle it is on his skin. It makes the perfect soft, sudsy bubble bath but doesn’t dry him out like other soaps. The diaper cream has also been wonderful. It works great anytime he starts to get a rash and helps calm the redness quickly. It creates a really nice protective barrier without feeling heavy or irritating his skin, which I appreciate since his skin can be so sensitive.
I also love that the products are food-grade, because my baby always end up getting some in his mouth or on his pacifier during application, which gives me peace of mind. It’s also really nice knowing these products are made by another mother, who is a healthcare worker, and has had a NICU baby herself. That personal experience really shows in the care and thought behind the products.

I love this barrier balm! Initially, I ordered it for baby shower gifts for two very health conscious moms-to-be. I then purchased a jar for myself. I use it nightly as a hand and body moisturizer. I found the balm to have a natural, pleasing scent. It melts and is absorbed quickly. It leaves my skin with a wonderful soft, silky feel. This product was absolutely fabulous for my 2.5 year old's skin! My son struggles with very dry patches all over his body, flaring from heat or different chemicals in pools/hot tubs. We applied this cream to targeted areas on his body and after a few days the dry spots were reduced and after over a week they were resolved. So amazing, would recommend!
Cocoa LaBear! A couple of years ago a friend gifted me Baby Cocoa Barrier Balm to use on a surgery scar. I really appreciated the way it soothed the scar area.
Fast forward a couple of years and I was not finding relief for the discomfort of saggy skin chafing due to dampness. A doctors prescription only inflamed the situation, and other topicals just didn't do the job. One night I spotted the barrier balm and thought I would give it a try. Not only did I have immediate relief in the areas of redness, the balm seems to provide protection from the moisture issue. I love this balm!!! It is absolutely my go to for problematic skin care. Please keep making it!!
I can't say enough to accurately describe just how great this barrier balm is! I'm a nurse,I've been a nurse for over 20 years. That's morethan 20 years of washing my hands countless times and applying drying hand sanitizer day after day. My hands were chapped, my cuticles dry and painful. I know this stuff's supposed to go on a baby's tush, but I wanted something for real all natural like this to indulge my lips at night. The texture feels extra nice, and the chocolate-y smell is amazing. A little goes a long way. It's buttery and moisturizing. Seems like a better deal to buy the refill, so I may do that in the future. Please make more products available! Love your label.
